FULLER BOARDS HIT LONG BEACH

Our friend, Jay Fuller, has a passion. It’s surfing. So when there’s no waves, what is he to do? He hits the pavement, just like what the kids did in the late 1950s.

But his boards are a lot more modern than the wooden baskets and archaic wheels.

So today, we crossed one of our #2018summerbucketlist challenges off. We headed to Long Beach and rode our Fuller Long Boards down the boardwalk. If you haven’t been to Belmont Shores in Long Beach, I highly recommend it. It’s a picturesque and ideal place for bikers, runners, roller skaters, scooters, and long boarders like us!

If you’re unfamiliar with long boards, they’re much longer than regular skateboards. Their purpose is to mimic longboard surfboards, but on pavement. Truth be told - our kids LOVE them! In fact, they asked for one for Christmas and for their birthday.

So we took them out for a spin. And boy, it was a fun day! Sun was out, no crowds, and the ride was a dream.

This is Jay. He’s the mastermind. He designs, creates, and carves all the Fuller Long Boards.

Of course, after two hours of long boarding, it’s time to relax. And eat ...

... one of the best Mexican restaurants in So Cal - El Burrito Jr. They have a special that serves two bean and cheese burritos, chips + salsa, and a drink for only $7.00! It’s a delicious deal.
