TEN FRAMES

If you’re familiar with Go Math! then you’re familiar with 10 frames. And if you’re a kindergarten teacher, then you know about learning centers. If you’re unfamiliar with them, a learning center is a self-contained section of the classroom in which students engage in independent and self-directed learning activities. Today I hit two birds with one stone by creating ten frames that your students can work on in learning centers. Here’s what we did:

First, download and print these ten frames. I laminated them with this machine for durability. I highly recommend it because it’s inexpensive and high quality.

So to create your center activity, lay out the ten frames (0 to 10) and select objects to fill them. We used plastic farm animals that fit with our farm theme. The options are limitless but the activity is spot on. It’s a win-win!
